Question on pets- They will be available till 1000 are sold, but will there be a date deadline like the lava dragons?

Go to worldofmidgard.com/account and log in, if you bought anything already. Then go to add/renew subscription and buy them from there.

No one is required to purchase anything to play this game. Development is offering items as a bonus for anyone who is willing to donate early in development so that more content can be added for all regaurdless if you donated or not.
