Moderators -- What they are and how to identify them

The community of World of Midgard recently went through several major moderation improvements. This thread is to explain what each moderator is and what they do.

To start: Moderators are players who volunteer to look after the game and ensure a fun and safe environment for all. Moderators are in no way affiliated with Veraxon. Moderators basic duties are to help answer questions and defuse situations. Moderators strive to have a vast understanding of the game, and the rules. Moderators can be identified by the color of their name.

Any GM/Mod position needed will be selected by the current GMs/admin/dev through witnessed actions in game/forum. These positions can not be applied for so, Please Do Not PM with requests for any position. (As this could potentially lessen your chances)

Forum Moderators - Forum Moderators look after the forums and only the forums. They will have a blue name on the forums, they will not have a colored name in game. All questions through the forums should be directed towards the Global and Forum Moderators. This ensures for the quickest possible response.

Global Moderators - Global Moderators are Forum Moderators and Game Moderators. They will have a purple name on the forums, and their name will be green in game.

Game Moderators - Game Moderators moderate the game. They have a green name both on forums and in the game. All questions through the forums should be directed to the Global and Forum Moderators first. All questions in game should be directed towards the Game Moderators.
- Note: Game Moderators names will only be green while they are in mod mode in the game. It is against moderation rules for a moderator to state themselves as a mod outside of game mod mode. If a player claims to be a mod, and their name is not green, you can ask them to enable their game mod mode. If the player refuses to, report them immediately.

**If you see any moderators breaking rules or abusing their powers, please send a formal report to one of the Global Moderators. Please include any evidence like conversations, screenshots, other users who witnessed the incident, ect.. A minimum of 4 posts is required to send a private message. Formal reports can also be sent to moderators about players who conducted disorderly conduct, and no moderator was there to witness it. A report player function will be available in the game as well.**

Note: Moderators do not receive any extended benefits or specialties for being Moderators. It is solely a volunteer position for the better of the game.

Players must be in no way petitioned or suggested to a moderator for moderation. Moderators must decide on their own if a player is worthy of a moderator position and any outside influence may void any chance that user may have for becoming a moderator.

Now there is one more requirement on top of previous list for Game Moderators (not for forum moderators)

You must kill all bosses.

This is hardcore game and game moderators must be hardcore too.
